Community Relations Committee
The Community Relations Committee is the organized, representative voice of the Jews of Summit county. Rooted in Jewish values and informed by Jewish history, CRC's mission also reflects the ideals of American democracy. It promotes a society that is democratic, pluralistic and just.
Among its activities, CRC informs the Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Summit county about matters, problems and events that significantly affect the local Jewish community. It also advocates for a safe, secure and democratic state of Israel.
Every year, CRC hosts an interfaith mission to Washington, D.C. for community leaders. There, they visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and meet with representatives of the Israeli embassy.

Legislative Receptions
CRC invites Akron-area legislative and judicial representatives to a reception, where they can learn more about the Akron Jewish community and community members can meet them.
Community Events
Throughout the year, CRC sponsors or co-sponsors programs in the community, often bringing in important voices in the Jewish community or in the political arena.
Interfaith Events
CRC often collaborates with other religious organizations and community groups. For many years, it has co-hosted a Freedom Seder with the African American community.
